Mafabielex, I think you got it mixed up. bromine belongs to the halogen family which is group 7 and argon belongs to the noble gas family, group 8. But yes, you are right they are not similar.

For two elements to be similar they must atleast belong to the same group,argon is a group 7 element and Bromine is not,therefore they are not similar.
